Mircea Andreican

Church Planting and Evangelist Coordinator

Romania

Mircea Andreican was born into an orthodox family. For him, religion always seemed to be presented as something meant for backwards people and as a means of manipulating people.

It was in 1987 when he felt that something was wrong with following communism. He also felt that something was wrong with his life so he began a journey to figure out the purpose of his life.

At that time a friend at the company where he worked risked his own safety by giving Mircea a Bible. His friend's words touched him deeply: "I searched for meaning in all the ways you searched, but I did not find an answer until I admitted to the problems in my life."

It took Mircea less than a year to read through the Bible. He read other books and visited churches until he came to the realization that the Bible is true and that God is real and has a solution for our sinfulness.

Soon his life was blessed with new direction, new understanding of people, of God and himself. He was so excited about this experience he called his fiancé to join him at the church where he had started to attend. Within few months they gave their lives to Jesus and were baptized confessing Him as Lord and Savior.

Mircea has a burden for lost people and soon he was invited to be trained as a preacher in Hope Baptist Church in Arad. Visiting various churches he felt a deeper calling to leave his job and become an evangelist and missionary. It was then that he started a replant of a church among Romanian gypsy community. After a few years of work he was ordained and became full time pastor of the new Faith Church. His wife Mari also became a teacher for the children and through I.N. Network they have touched the lives of over 200 children.

His passion to equip and get more people involved in reaching others was strengthened with more experience and education. When he first heard from pastor Doru Butas about the need of helping evangelists and church planters from INN Romania he felt that this is what he was looking for. Now, after several experiences in INN Romania he can tell this is the right place for him and he prays that he would be a blessing for God's work in all Romaniain counties.
