The VBS week was real blessing and encouragement to me. I was astonished by the way God worked and took care of all the little details related to the team and the ministry.
My desire was to be a good helper to change the lives of the little ones through the teaching, but after this week I can say that I was the first one who went home changed by God. My heart was especially touched by the way the children in Socodor, Nadab, Ostrovul Corbului & Gogosu were willing to learn and do, soaking up as a sponge everything they heard and saw through lessons, games, and songs.
I’m sure that each child went home changed, because I saw how well they behaved, how careful were during the practical lessons and how happily they sang and played with those from the US team. We, as team members from Romania, tried our best to let every child understand the gospel message and believe it. I realized once again how blessed I am, knowing the truth of the Bible since my childhood, while many of the children only heard it for the first time during VBS week.
I was also very touched by the testimonies of the church-planters from Mehedinti county. I felt honored to get to know them and hear about the unique way God worked in each of their lives. I was encouraged by their heart for the Lord and His ministry, in spite of so many difficulties. They are an example for me.
I’m also thankful that God allowed me to know and serve along with the team from Dessert Springs Community Church in Arizona. They are extraordinary people: honest, hard working, faithful, and rooted in the Scriptures, very well prepared for all the needs of the ministry in this part of the world. They adapted to all the conditions they found here and they enjoyed and rejoiced with the Romanian style of food.
We worked very well together and learned from each other during these days of ministry. Omanian youth, who are a great bunch of people of God. I hope God will give us the opportunity to minister together again!
